Rosevelt’s Special Best of St. Kitts and Panoramic Tour

Price range: $85.00 through $165.00

Description

Our St. Kitts tours are geared towards you, our valuable guest, to provide you with an exceptionally enjoyable visit, tailored to provide you with an understanding and appreciation of our people, culture, history, and natural beauty of our island.

Our sightseeing tour takes us through historical Basseterre, which has an eclectic mix of English and French heritage, a consummate blend of old and new architectural styles. The capital city was founded in 1625 by French settlers. Observe the stately Berkeley Memorial, in the center of what is known as the Circus, a replica of London’s Piccadilly Circus, Independence Square (formerly Pall Mall Square) where enslaved people were sold, the Co-Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, and St. George Anglican Church.

We continue westward along the scenic coastline road to the first major stop, Romney Manor, which was once owned by Capt. Samuel Jefferson, the great great great grandfather of Thomas Jefferson the third president of the United States. Romney Manor is set amidst 25 acres of lush, tropical gardens, now home to Caribelle Batik, where skilled artisans produce a variety of multi-colored batik fabrics of exceptional beauty. Demonstrations of this unique art are held daily. Bask in the serenity of the gardens, which include a massive collection of exotic palms and a 400-year-old African Samon tree which gives evidence of the glory of nature.

Our second stop is the Majestic Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, a designated UNESCO World Heritage site, which was once known as the Gibraltar of the West Indies. This unique Fortress is perched on the top of a volcanic cone 800 ft. above sea level, with stunning views of mountains, valleys, and neighboring islands in the distance. Walk on the battlements and view the living and working quarters of those British Redcoats who manned this garrison so many years ago.

Our tour of St. Kitts now turns eastward toward our third destination, passing quaint villages, mountains and hilltops, fruit trees, flora and fauna, while your tour guide regales you with humorous renditions of local folklore. Timothy Hill, our destination, as the gateway to the Southeast Peninsula, provides an unbridled panoramic view to this developing, but still tranquil area of St. Kitts. Mt. Nevis, the cloud-capped highest peak of our sister-island of Nevis, provides a majestic background to the Frigate Bay valley, luxurious resorts and villas perched on the steep hillsides and mountaintops, seemingly stretching into infinity, embracing Carambola Beach Club at Friar’s Bay beach.

There you would spend time at the beach for those who want to stay and have a relaxing time. The sand is soft, the waves are gentle, the people are friendly. Prepare yourself to be mesmerized. The tour is not complete until everyone is returned safely and timely to their ship or hotel.
